Halberd
The halberd is a similar type of polearm as to the bardiche, except that it has a much smaller blade. The halberd was famous for ending the Burgendian Wars. A Swiss peasant unhorsed the Duke of Burgundy in a single stroke, then killing him.
The halberd was a common weapon in Switzerland during medieval times. It was very easy to produce and relatively cheap to produce compared to other weapons at the time. That's why it was a common weapon in peasant rebellions or uprisings. It was also very convenient for the infantry. It had a large blade on the front of the weapon for combatting other men on foot. It had a smaller hooked blade on the backhand side for pulling horsemen out of their saddles. Then it had the spear pointed top to be able to combat other spears and pikes.
