Scimitar

The scimitar is a strangely curved sword that originated in Southwest Asia. It's used in Turkey, Afghanistan, Armenia, India Morocco, and Bosnia. The scimitar is long enough that it can be used in horseback warfare even though it is still not fully considered a longsword. It has been adopted as a cultural symbol by many different countries. Specifically the ones noted above. It's very possible that the Greeks and Romans fought against groups that used scimitars.
